The miracle on the mountain

The Spirit of God has been drawing me continually to the book of Exodus and Numbers the past few weeks. Moses really had extra ordinary moments with the Lord…..and I envy him!!

Visualising Moses being called up the mountain by God and his encounters in the tent of meeting is just an amazing sight for me. It had to be encounters that are unexplainable for words.

This I know……during these moments both God and Moses were pouring their hearts out towards one another. Every time a little bit more and a little bit deeper. What they had for each other in their hearts they shared with one another. Moses experienced and received deep knowledge of God. God even said to Miriam and Aaron that Moses beheld the form of God.

Numbers 12:8 NASBS

[8] With him I speak mouth to mouth, Even openly, and not in dark sayings, And he beholds

the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid To speak against My servant, against

Moses?'

Moses “beholds the form of God”! There is so much richness in this statement. There are so many layers we can peal off from this statement and extract the guidance we need to cultivate the same intimate relationship with our creator.

Behold in the Hebrew is; “nâbaţ” which means; to consider someone, to give our attention and respect to someone.

Form in the Hebrew is; “temûnâh temûnâh” which means; the visible shape or configuration of something, a particular way in which a thing exists or appears; a manifestation, manifestation (of favor): - {image} {likeness} similitude.

WOW!!! The Lord said to Miriam and Aaron as He rebuked them for slandering Moses behind his back;

- Moses considers Me.

- Moses considers what I carry in My heart.

- Moses gives attention to My person.

- Moses recognises My holiness and purity.

- Moses is not on this journey for himself……Moses is on this journey for Me.

- Moses has considered My passion for my people.

God said……Moses knows Me. The greatest miracle which gave birth to a multitude of

manifested miracles was a normal man considering God above all else. It started

small….in front of a burning bush. Moses did not consider his desires above the Lord, or trying to be wealthy above his love for the Lord. Moses beheld, considered and gave His attention to the Lord.

Many Christian’s beholds politics and politician’s. Their smart phone or even their ministry before they think of beholding the Lord.

Exodus 34:14 AMP

[14] -for you shall not worship any other god; for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous (impassioned) God [demanding what is rightfully and uniquely His]

God is passionate about His relationship with us and He demands what is uniquely His inheritance in us which is nothing less than a divine relationship with our creator

considering/beholding Him. Respecting His holiness, purity and His qualities.

Many Christians are intensely experiencing what David experienced according to his own

expression in;

Psalm 32:4 TPT

[4] The pain never let up, for your hand of conviction was heavy on my heart. My strength

was sapped, my inner life dried up like a spiritual drought within my soul.

Many many of God’s people seeks rest. They seek fulfilment. Many Spirit filled believers don’t have fulfilment and don’t see prayers answered. Why? Because they are considering “things”………..They “try” to enter His rest. They “try” through confessions, through prayer, through feeding their faith as we many times express ourselves…..but to no avail. They are unsuccessful in entering His rest.

The finances matter too much, the spouse is more important or the children. (These are important, but not more important than God) The smart phone is more interesting than God. The ministry needs attention, consideration and beholding.

We all want to grow. We want to grow as individuals, as businesses, as churches, as

movements and as ministries. It’s good to want to grow…..But true sustainable growth always starts as a miracle on the mountain. It starts by beholding God, recognising His form and

respecting His holiness. True growth starts when we start doing, saying and living the way He

expects of us.

I hear the Lord say; Today, I am not asking anyone for a business plan, strategy or good methods to grow what is needed. I am asking My people to surrender their fleshly sacrifices and investments they have made for My kingdom and to surrender their hearts to receive the new.

Many has sacrificed much to be were they are today in ministry or business. The Lord says that holding on to that sacrifice (long and tedious hours of labour to birth what the Lord wanted at the time) and not letting go will keep us bound to the past and won’t allow us to enter the new. The Lord is wanting our hearts on the altar not our accomplishments. God is calling us to consider Him.

When we read the following scripture we truly understand why God is desiring for us to reveal His heart to the world.

Pouring out of God’s Spirit means pouring out of God’s heart

Acts 2:17 NLT

[17] 'In the last days,' God says, "I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.

I have still much in my heart that the Lord is sharing with me but I will stop here and release

this Word in its fullness in the next few weeks.

Consider God and walk in His rest as Moses did and Jesus promised. Our miracle is on the

mountain and our last crises will always be on our knees.

Love you much

Didier
